Stalypso

Stalypso (born 2002) is a dark bay Hanoverian stallion who stands as the most famous and successful son of the legendary Stakkato. A powerhouse of German jumping breeding, he is celebrated for his "maximum scores" in jumping ability and his remarkable versatility, which has allowed him to produce top-tier athletes in both jumping and dressage.

As of March 2026, Stalypso is 24 years old and is primarily stationed at the National State Stud Tlumačov in the Czech Republic, though his genetics remain a staple of the Gestüt Sprehe roster in Germany.

A Career of Maximum Scores

Stalypso’s career began with one of the most impressive stallion tests in history:

• The 9.88 Record: At his 30-day test in Schlieckau, he received a nearly perfect 9.88 for jumping ability, the highest score of his class.

• Grand Prix Success: Under the saddle of Denis Nielsen, Stalypso was a consistent winner at the S*** (Grand Prix) level, including notable victories in international classes like the Dortmund Grand Prix.

• The "I-a Main Premium": Due to the extraordinary quality of his first foal crops, he was awarded the prestigious I-a Main Premium in Vechta, an honor reserved for stallions who prove they can pass on their elite traits.
