Sezuan's Donnerhall

Sezuan’s Donnerhall (born 2015) is a liver chestnut Oldenburg stallion who represents one of the most concentrated "dressage royalty" pedigrees in existence. Stationed at Gestüt Schockemöhle, he is often described as the "Donnerhall of the modern era" because of his striking physical resemblance to his legendary great-grandfather.

As of March 2026, he has moved into the Advanced (S-level) and Grand Prix development phase, while his first few foal crops have begun to dominate the young horse competition circuits.

2026 Sport & Performance Update

Sezuan’s Donnerhall is currently being developed for the highest level of international dressage.

• The Grand Prix Path: Following a dominant young horse career, he is now 11 years old and competing at the Advanced (S) level. In early 2026, he has been featured in stallion showcases (such as the Schockemöhle-Helgstrand events in Vechta) showing advanced work in piaffe and passage, with judges praising his ability to maintain the "Donnerhall-style" rhythm while adding the "Sezuan" elasticity.

• The Record Breaker: He remains famous for his historic stallion performance tests, where he won both his 14-day test (9.34) and his 50-day test (9.19). Notably, he received a perfect 10.0 for his canter, a score that remains a benchmark for breeders in 2026.
