Senegel De Fontaine

Sénégal de Fontaine (born 2020) is a black Danish Warmblood stallion who represents the absolute pinnacle of "celebrity" dressage breeding. As of March 2026, he is one of the most talked-about young sires in Europe, not just for his own talent, but because his mother is currently the most famous dressage horse in the world.

He is stationed at Helgstrand Dressage in Denmark.

2026 Status: The Son of a Legend

Sénégal de Fontaine’s profile skyrocketed following the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2025 European Championships.

• The "Wendy" Factor: His dam, Wendy de Fontaine (formerly Queenparks Wendy), is the superstar mount of Isabell Werth. In late 2024 and throughout 2025, Wendy became a global sensation, winning Olympic Team Gold and Individual Silver.

• Sporting Development: Now 6 years old, Sénégal is following the "VH" family tradition of excellence. In early 2026, he has been a highlight of the Helgstrand stallion shows, demonstrating a high degree of maturity and the same "rubber-ball" elasticity seen in his mother.

• Licensing Success: He was a top performer at his 35-day test in Denmark, finishing 5th overall with a massive score of 828.5 points, and was fully approved for the Danish, Hanoverian, and Oldenburg (DSP) books.
