Rheirattack

Rheirattack (born 1997) is a legendary figure in North American dressage breeding. A dark bay Canadian-bred stallion, he made history as a "pioneer" for Canadian sport horses, proving that a home-bred stallion could compete at the highest international levels and earn the respect of the traditional European registries.

As of March 2026, Rheirattack is a retired veteran of the sport, celebrated for his dual legacy as a Grand Prix champion and a foundation sire for North American dressage.

Rheirattack's career was defined by "firsts." He was the horse that put Canadian dressage breeding on the global map.

• The Pioneer: He was the first Canadian-bred dressage stallion to be approved for breeding by the Oldenburg, Westphalian, and Rhineland Verbands based on his international performance.

• Grand Prix Success: Ridden by Susanne Dutt-Roth, he was a fixture on the North American Grand Prix circuit. He was named to Dressage Canada’s National Grand Prix List for three consecutive years (2011, 2012, and 2013).
