Quintero Ask (born 1998), also known as Quintero La Silla, is a dark bay Holsteiner stallion who stands as one of the most physically imposing and high-performance sires in the world of showjumping. Ridden for years by Swedish legend Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, he became famous for his massive scope and his unique ability to jump the biggest tracks in the world with a "rubber-ball" elasticity.

As of March 2026, Quintero is a 28-year-old senior statesman of the breeding world, living a comfortable retirement while remaining a high-demand "legacy" sire.

2026 Sport & Breeding Status

  • The Senior Legend: Quintero retired from active sport in 2014 after a glittering 5* career. In 2026, he is celebrated for his longevity and physical soundness, having competed at the top level until age 16.

  • Global Influence: He is currently owned and managed by The Stallion Company (France/UK). While his fresh semen career has naturally concluded given his age, he remains a cornerstone of their roster through high-quality frozen reserves.

  • The "Guarantee" Sire: In 2026 breeding circles, Quintero is marketed as the "guaranteed" source of scope. He holds one of the highest strike rates in the industry, with a massive percentage of his offspring reaching the 1.50m and 1.60m levels.
