Quality (1999–2020) was a dark bay Holsteiner stallion who became a cornerstone of the Gerd Sosath stallion station in Lemwerder. He was the quintessential "modern jumper"—elegant, incredibly rideable, and possessing a technique that judges often described as "toy-like" because of how effortlessly he cleared massive obstacles.

As of March 2026, he is a "Legacy Sire," with his blood now firmly embedded in the pedigrees of some of the world's most successful showjumpers and eventers.

The Legacy of the "Model Athlete"

Quality’s career was marked by extreme consistency in both sport and breeding:

  • The 30-Day Test Phenom: In 2002, he finished his performance test in Prussendorf with scores between 9.0 and 10.0 for his jumping ability and technique.

  • International Success: Under various riders (including Gerd Sosath and Hendrik Sosath), he was successful at the Advanced (S-level) and international 1.45m/1.50m levels. He was famous for his "heart and soul," always trying to find the other side of the fence.

  • Modern Type: Quality was one of the first stallions to truly bridge the gap between "old school" Holsteiner power and the refined, "blood-type" horse required for the technical tracks of the 21st century.
