Morricone

Morricone I (born 2012) is a black Oldenburg stallion who represents the pinnacle of modern dressage breeding: combining a "supermodel" exterior with the performance of a Grand Prix champion. Standing at 170 cm, he is widely regarded as one of the most successful sons of Millennium and has become a "trademark" stallion for the renowned Gestüt Bonhomme.

As of early 2026, Morricone I has reached "legend" status. Having already secured major honors like the VTV Oldenburg Stallion of the Year, he was recently awarded the prestigious new title of "Oldenburger Future Sire 2025" in recognition of his offspring's dominance in the Prix St. Georges ranks.

A Career of Excellence

Morricone’s journey has been a sequence of "10.0" moments:

• The Perfect Test: At his stallion performance test, he won with a score of 9.33, famously receiving the maximum score of 10.0 four times (twice for rideability and twice for walk).

• Main Premium Winner (2016): Awarded the Hauptprämie for the outstanding quality of his first foal crop.

• Grand Prix Success: Under Lena Waldmann, and later other top riders, he established himself as a winner at Grand Prix and Short Grand Prix levels, with scores frequently exceeding 74-75%.
