Le Formidable

Le Formidable (born 2016) is a black "powerhouse" of the KWPN and widely considered one of the most exciting dressage sires in Europe today. Standing at 171 cm, he achieved legendary status early by being named the 2019 KWPN Licensing Champion, where the judges famously described him as "a pure joy to watch."

As of early 2026, he has transitioned from being a "young horse sensation" into a significant sire of the next generation, with his oldest offspring now entering the licensing rings and young horse championships.

• KWPN Champion (2019): He won the licensing title in ’s-Hertogenbosch with an unanimous vote. The committee highlighted his nobility, elegance, and the incredible power he generates from his hindleg.

• Sport Development: Under the guidance of Saskia Poel, he has been carefully developed through the young horse ranks. He is known for his massive self-carriage and "uphill" orientation in all three gaits.
