Landor S

Landor S (1991–2015) was a "founding father" of the modern Gerd Sosath stallion station and one of the most significant Oldenburg jumping sires of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. A bay stallion standing at 170 cm, he was known for his noble "blood" type and his ability to pass on championship-level carefulness.

Although he passed away in October 2015, his influence is arguably even stronger in 2026 as a "dam-sire" (maternal grandfather), appearing in the pedigrees of a vast number of today's international 5* superstars.

Landor S was the horse that transformed Gerd Sosath’s family farm into a global breeding powerhouse.

• Bundeschampion (1997): He rose to fame by winning the prestigious German Federal Championship (Bundeschampionat) for 6-year-old jumpers.

• Oldenburg Sire of the Year: He was a multiple-time recipient of this title, largely due to his offspring dominating the world rankings (WBFSH).

• WBFSH Rankings: In 2010, 2011, and 2012, he was officially the #1 ranked Oldenburg jumping sire in the world.
