Lagon de L'Abbaye

Lagon de l'Abbaye (born 1999) is a charismatic black-bay ("noir pangaré") Selle Français stallion standing at 1.67m. A true ambassador of the Selle Français Originel (SFO) label, he is one of the most respected sons of the world-leading sire Diamant de Semilly. He is celebrated for his feline flexibility, a very respectful front leg, and a versatility that has made him a favorite for both show jumping and eventing breeders.

Lagon de l'Abbaye enjoyed a long and consistent career at the international level, proving his durability and "heart" across a decade of sport:

• International Grand Prix Success: Under riders like Eric Levallois and Francois-Xavier Boudant, he was a frequent contender in CSI3* and CSI4* events. Notable results include 4th in the 1.60m Grand Prix of Royan and 3rd in the Grand Prix of Vejer de la Frontera.

• The "Espoir" Title: In 2009, he was honored as the Best Hopeful Stallion (Etalon Espoir) at the prestigious Normandy Horse Show, a title that predicted his future influence in breeding.

• Young Horse Excellence: He was a consistent finalist in the French Championships at Fontainebleau as both a 6-year-old and 7-year-old, finishing 3rd in the 7-year-old Grand Prix in Paris.
