Karajan

Karajan (born 2014) is a "great genius" of the modern show jumping ring and a superstar of the Klosterhof Medingen roster. A bay Hanoverian standing at 170 cm, he is a rare athlete who combines the world’s most powerful jumping bloodlines with a level of rideability and "basic gaits" that would be the envy of most dressage stallions.

As of early 2026, he has transitioned from a dominant youngster into a high-performance international competitor on the 5* circuit.

Karajan’s career has been a steady climb of record-breaking scores and international success:

• Licensing Champion (2016): He was the sensational Jumping Champion of the Westphalian Licensing, where experts called his free-jumping "boundless."

• The "9.65" Sport Test (2019): He won his sport test with an astronomical score of 9.65, receiving perfect 10.0s for potential and overall impression, and 9.8 for rideability and gallop.

• International Grand Prix (2024–2026): Ridden by Marco Kutscher, Karajan has established himself at the 1.60m level.

  • 2024 Highlights: He was a standout at the Global Champions Tour (GCT), placing in the CSI5* Grand Prix of Riesenbeck and competing at the CHIO Aachen.

  • The "Clear Round Machine": Between 2021 and 2023, he famously stayed clear in 33 consecutive international rounds, a testament to his extreme carefulness and consistency.
