Hickstead White

Hickstead White (born 2012) is a phenomenon of modern show jumping breeding and the flagship jumping stallion of Gestüt Sprehe. A grey Oldenburg International (OS) stallion standing at 165 cm, he is legendary for being the only licensed son of the Olympic Champion Hickstead stationed on German soil.

In early 2024, he reached a new milestone by being named the VTV Jumping Stallion of the Year, a prestigious title awarded for his dual excellence in international sport and high-quality breeding.

Hickstead White has been a "serial winner" from the moment he began his career, demonstrating the same fighting spirit as his world-famous sire.

• Performance Test Winner: He finished his 30-day test in Neustadt/Dosse as the overall winner with a score of 8.32, including a top jumping score of 8.75.

• Sport Test Champion: In 2017, he was the best 5-year-old at the sport test in Münster with an outstanding 8.82.

• International Grand Prix Success (2024–2026): Under the saddle of Jörne Sprehe, Hickstead White has become a staple of the 5* international circuit.

  • 2024 Highlights: He secured team silver at the EEF Nations Cup Semi-Final in Budapest with two double-clear rounds. He also won the CSI3 Grand Prix of Lichtenvoorde* and placed at major venues like Aachen and Spruce Meadows.

  • 2025–2026: He continues to compete at the 1.55m–1.60m level, known for his extreme carefulness, lightning reflexes, and boundless scope.
