Destano

Destano (born 2007) is a majestic black Hanoverian stallion standing at 1.72m. He is the "crown prince" of the legendary Desperados FRH and has cemented his status as one of the most successful international dressage stallions of the modern era. In 2026, he is celebrated not just for his own legendary Olympic career with Simone Pearce, but as a premier "Grand Prix producer" whose offspring are dominating European championships.

• Two-Time Olympian: Destano represented Australia at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics and, most recently, delivered a stellar performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he led the Australian team to a 10th-place finish and placed 32nd individually.

• Record Holder: Under Simone Pearce, Destano became a "Triple Record Holder," setting the Australian national records for the Grand Prix (76.2%), Grand Prix Special (77.8%), and Grand Prix Freestyle (81.3%).

• Main Premium Winner: Early in his career, he was the I-a Main Premium Winner in Vechta, an award given to the stallion with the best first foal crop combined with his own sport results.
