Bernay
Boston - Lord Loxley - Ferragamo
Bernay (2011–2020) was a breathtakingly elegant jet-black Rhinelander stallion standing at 1.70m. Stationed at Gestüt Sprehe, he was considered one of the most promising young Grand Prix prospects in Germany before his tragic and untimely death.
-
Grand Prix Breakthrough: Under Australian Olympic rider Simone Pearce, Bernay had just made a sensational debut at the Intermediaire II level shortly before his death, winning with scores over 71%.
-
The "Boston" Fate: Tragically, Bernay suffered a similar fate to his father, Boston, who also died young (at age 6) while training with Isabell Werth.
-
Movement Profile: He was famed for his "limitless" shoulder freedom and a trot that was described as having "unprecedented lightness and expression."
